Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

[Fai had no trouble getting another watermelon. The hard part was getting the really huge fish to his home. It takes a lot of work, a little creativity and an experimentation with a watermelon but Fai gets the fish to his new home. Upon returning, Fai explains the process to the bearded man.]

Your fish was really friendly! I made sure to keep him good and wet and guide him to a nice place. He picked a really good spot to stay and even found a little fishy home! I'm sure he'll be really content there. You better make sure you visit him once in awhile so he doesn't get lonely. I'll even visit him as well.

And the watermelon thing really did work! I ate it and it was really tasty so I didn't mind trying it at all. I've never eaten so much watermelon before but I wanted to make sure I had a lot of time to work with. It has a really strange after affect though. You turn all green and bloaty..but it's okay because I'm obviously back to normal now!

Oh, good! I hope he's happy now.

[He laughs in response to the watermelon.]

Of course it works! That's why they're called watermelons! You turn green when the watermelon is about to run out, that's how you know to swim back to the surface.

How clever! It's good to know when you are running out of time. Who knew watermelons were so smart? Ah..maybe its the body that is smart! Because it knows when the magic is running out. Either way, very fun!

They really do deserve a song of their own! Maybe some day we can come up with one together to celebrate the watermelon.

I've been trying to write a song about the bay, but it just isn't coming to me yet.

[He sighs a bit. Though...]

Yay! I like it a lot. You're very good at that. I'm going to remember it and sing it if I go back to the watermelons. I'm sure they would want to hear it too.
