Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

[On Thursday]
Ever think about getting fish? Just for the lobby. They are pretty relaxing to watch. My mate can probably hook you up. He has a few of ‘em at home and at his shop.


[On Friday]
Finally got up early enough to catch breakfast time. Those croissants you have are pretty good. There is a lad on the network who does crab shaped bread. Have ya tried some of those yet?

[On Saturday]
On this quest I went on earlier, I had to deliver cave mushrooms. Do you think they taste any good?


[On Sunday]
Do you like chocobos? You should scope out the races later. Care to make a wager on the winner?

[Darkleer sees nothing wrong with that.]

[It is fortunate for this family that Arty does and Darkleer takes notices of his much more subtle head shake. Okay, new plan.]

Why won't he simply keep it clean in the first place? Did he agree to this wall?

[Yay! It's perfect! He does miss the modern washer a little but this reminds him of cleaning his tunic when it got too smelly way back in the water temple. Ahh memories...

The next morning brings a very appreciative note!]

the tub and stuff was really helpful thank you! my cloths dont smell anymore and my sheild is all shiny again after the mermaid spells made it black and gross i can even see my face in it!

Well if you care about it enough to get someone to weed it then it's kinda your garden. Actually a park is like everyone's garden, isn't it?

[Sola's got weird ideas.

He definitely brings a bunch of mandrake roots the next time. It seems as if the one day without being screamed at by plants was the plants regrouping. Sola actually doesn't even show up until mid-afternoon, having passed out from one that had gotten behind him even before he put in his ear plugs.

They were ready for him. But he managed anyway, so here he is park girl, looking significantly worse for the wear.]

[And Sola'll clean that up too! He even hides to find the hooligans this time but... well he fell asleep so no luck. At least the storefront is clean when he's through.]

[This can only be the best thing ever, ok. He doesn't have his Portals at the moment, so this has to be the next best thing.

So after a bit of scouting-- Ah. That shady looking one over there. He'll just be walking up behind him... and following him as casual as ever, hands in his pockets and grin on his face.

Let's see how long it takes this one to figure out he's being followed.]

Whatever, just start putting your stuff in boxes before I step on it again!

[Their sister looks amused.]

I'll go make some lunch! Do you want anything?

[He's still paying attention, but he considers the pause to be an invitation for questions.]

Hey, what's leet mean? What kind of music is leet? And what's a fucking douchebag? How come Little Cal doesn't want to kill the wolves? Is being a fucking douchebag like being in the special class at school? Because my mom says I can't be mad at those kids even if they're really really REALLY slow I mean this one time -

[Just in case, Sollux will find some breathe right strips on his pillow. Though, if he wears them during the curse, he'll find they greatly increase his stamina regeneration for a day... unfortunately, there's no note to that effect, so he probably won't ever find out.]

[Unfortunately, once this curse is over they may not behave exactly like this...

Either way, she gets another little note.

"We'll talk to the administration about it! By the way, you should keep that boy in his place until he marries you properly. Use this."

On her pillow is a new staff that increases her mp when equipped. It also does double damage to anyone trying to get into her pants! Not that that is relevant to the sort of fights she'll be in during this curse, but hey.]

[The scruffy man ties them together by the wrist, then sets them on the obstacle course. It's pretty dangerous, and unless his Samurai manages to unlock the friendship skill and boost his stats, they might find themselves knocked out in the clinic!]

It is! I step on his stuff and it hurts and I can't find anything!

[HUGE deal, wow! Roxas just doesn't understand, clearly he doesn't have a messy brother to deal with.]

All the good legos, and then I can't build anything.

Well don't leave them in piles all over if you don't want me to use them! Who leaves stuff in piles, anyway?!

If everything is in a pile you can see all your stuff easy!

[Fundamental organizational differences, here. The poor boys might actually need their own room, but they'll have to learn to share for now.]

[It doesn't look like they're doing so well at first. The Samurai seems to be trying faithfully, but Roxas only trusts it to do what's in its own interest, like any Nobody. He's not letting it help him.

...until a spout of flame burns his arm, and the Samurai gives him a hard tug to pull him out of any further danger.

That seems to do it, something clicks. There's no Organization here, they're both just Nobodies randomly thrown in this place. The newfound trust boosts the Samurai's abilities and together they make it the rest of the way through. ...a little worse for wear, of course, but still conscious!]

Woah! Shit, man, what's going on?

That lady didn't say anything about cages bro, I dunno!

[Sounds like someone might have put them up to this. They freeze when they see Arty. WHAT IS THAT EVEN?]

Treasure huh? [Looks at various piles of things as he starts to retrieve boxes and unfolds them.]

What kinda treasure? [Lysunder gives the other brother a smile, chuckling a little to himself before glancing up to the sister.]

Uh- nah, I'm all right, my hands'll be pretty busy for a bit anyway, but thank ya, doll.

[This story probably isn't going to put the kid to sleep, but he really seems to enjoy it regardless.]

Woooah... what did you do then? Did you steal all their treasure and bury it somewhere?!

[The other brother pipes up now. The wall isn't the thickest in the universe.]

I keep stuff in piles! Then I can see what I got. I can't just put it all in one toybox, that would take FOREVER to find things!

So... fight it out a little.

I've got a brother, too, y'know. And I've been- mad at him before. I don't think walling him out and avoiding him'd do anything except let me stay mad. And- that's not really any fun.

You should talk to him. Or yell if you need to, but- you've gotta be sure what you're yelling is what you're really mad about, and not just excuses, or he won't understand.

[She shrugs and wanders off to make lunch for everyone else.]

[The second brother reaches into one of his piles and pulls out... a fishbone guitar! It'll very slightly increase the strength of his buffs, and it's sturdier than other instruments too so it can actually be used to smack monsters in a pinch - not that it does all that much damage, really.]

Hm-? [Glances to the fishbone guitar, taking it lightly.]

Uh- you sure it's okay for me to have? [Wow, what a sweet kid. But lots of children tend to have two sides, eh? All part of growing up. He'll be sure to use this a lot more than that swanky ass violin, even if fishes are still not- exactly his style.]

I'm not any good at music stuff anyway. I just thought it looked like treasure.

[The first brother sighs a bit. Treasure? That's trash! It's a giant fish bone, wow! Look what he has to put up with, seriously. At least Lysunder is helping him put everything away.]

[Lysunder sure is helping him out all his stuff away, the best he can! And even if the other brother thinks it looks like junk, Summoner still sits up a little and stuns a few chords. Huh, doesn't... sound to bad, a kind of neat, hollow sound instead of a ring like his violin.]

That's really nice of you kid. I'll be sure to make good use of it. It'll come in handy during adventures and the like. [A nod, putting the fishbone guitar away to go back to helping.]
