Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

[Arty doesn't much seem to care to make the correction himself, just sighing with relief as he's milked. Don't worry, boys, the only person who can direct a squirt to themselves is you. He'll hold back on the kicking.]

[Darkleer just reads a book as he waits, and only looks up when Arty finally gives a slight tapping of his hooves. All the bottles have been filled. It is a good day for Zahhaks.]

He seems to be happy now. [Darkleer unlocks the door to the trap and holds it open for everyone inside.] You are free to go. This punishment will be put into effect again if we catch wind of you causing trouble.

[The next day he's late again. Not as tired, but the situation on the island has him worried. Something big is coming, he can feel it.]

[They might swear up and down now that they won't do this again tomorrow, but the Head Nurse is a scary lady. Hopefully Darkleer understands.]

["That's okay, it looks like the C doesn't mind! It seems like something's coming, so be careful! A nice man came by and gave us a copy of this map, maybe you should take a look?"

Seems like the innkeeps have left Feferi a map to the magical watermelons! Not that she needs them, but Sollux might.]

Demons don't ask nicely.

[He's waiting, Minako! But not for long. Looks like his eyes are starting to wander.]

I'll just have my friend here make a hole so I can tell him how sorry you are.

[The Samurai pushes the boy aside--a little roughly but not too hard--and then rams the wall with its other shoulder.]

[Yes, good. Now, where was he? Oh yeah.]

Accompanied by their new companion, the Wasted Witch, they continued their journey along the yellow brick path. On and on they walked, until they passed by a gigantic bean stalk that grew up, up, all the way into the sky. As they stopped to marvel at it, a voice shouted "Look out below!" Then, an enormous man fell down from the heavens and landed behind them with a deafening crash. It was a giant and if he wasn't dead before, he sure as hell was now.

Dumbstruck, the three turned to stare at the dead giant and a boy came swinging down from the beanstalk. He was awesome as hell, but did not gloat about it and instead gave them all a stoic, deadpan stare. "Are you the one who slayed that bigass giant?" asked the Pied Strider. The boy nodded and replied: "I am. I climbed the beanstalk to its castle in the clouds and killed it with one great blow. It's all in a day's work for a knight." The Wasted Witch gave an impressed "oooh" and Lil Cal Riding Hood let out a low whistle.

"You'd best be on your way," said the young Knight, "when the sun goes down, this forest becomes twice as dangerous." But the Pied Strider shook his head. The trio still had a long journey ahead of them and they were unsure they could find the Huntsman before nightfall. The young Knight's eyes widened behind his dorky shades. He'd heard of the Huntsman before. Tales of his radical dance parties had spread across the land far and wide, but the Huntsman would only allow close friends to enter. Lil Cal Riding Hood ensured the young Knight that he was on good terms with the Huntsman and they'd surely be allowed to see him. Swinging his broadsword over his shoulder, the Knight decided that he should accompany the trio to the Huntsman's home.

And so, our trio became a foursome and together they set out on the yellow brick path once again. Little did they realize, danger was on the horizon. You see, the evil leader of the wolf pack had caught wind of the fact that our heroes were seeking the Huntsman's help to get rid of 'm all, so he'd begun to concoct a plan of his own. All he had to do was reach the Huntsman before they did. Then, nobody'd be able to stop them and his wolves'd be free to be douchebags all over the land.

Then I guess demons don't get nice things, do they?

[She'll just be reaching out to ruffle his hair up. Eat it, shorty.]

[It comes down with a spectacular crash, revealing... a huge mess and another little boy on the other side. Both boys stare at Roxas blankly, then start yelling.]

You're a huge jerk!

Yeah, you big meanie! You broke our wall!

[At least they're getting along?]

[As fascinating as all of this is, the boy just can't go any longer without knowing what a douchebag is. It's destroying the sense of danger! He has to know what the wolves are going to do that's so bad.]

What's a douchebag?

[Maybe if he asks nicely again, Bro will tell him.]

[He knocks her hand away with his staff. Just because he's got nothing in offense doesn't mean he has to put up with that!]

Nice things aren't normally what we're after.

[She has no clue what to even say to that. Kids man. Weird as heck.

She does however, get up, catching him as he starts to bounce, raising an eyebrow as she holds him still, lifted off the bed.]

What do you think you're doing?

[That question brings a bit more seriousness out of him, loyalty and protecting those he cared about weren't options to him.]

Of course I'd look after them, no matter how stupid they were or at what cost.

[There was still a knight under all that flamboyancy and hypocrisy.]

[She has to think fast and so far that isn't exactly working.]

Oh! Here we go. Once upon a time, in a far away kingdom lived a powerful princess. She was always told to stay in her castle and study, which as we all know is rather boring, lame and hard to do. So of course she never listened and would always sneak out and go visit the best place ever.

It was here she met the one, her special someone, but something terrible happened. A war started that caused the two to have to be separated. It's rater sad really, but there is a lot of fighting due to it being a war. A war between the people of the forbidden kingdom and one other, who wanted the place for themselves and take over everything. But they tried their hardest to stop them, but to no avail.

With one stroke of her sword the Queen of the other kingdom killed the princesses special someone and as he died in her arms, her heart broke so much that is was unbearable. The queen, her mother just couldn't take this anymore and took matters into her own hands and with the wave of her special weapon, managed to seal away the evil queen and her army and with the last of her magic, sent her daughter and her loved one away, to another place. One day it's said that they will end up together again and the true battle will begin once more. But this time, the ending won't be as sad.

[After a little huffing and puffing, the boys set to work cleaning up the wall together. Having a common "enemy" has them getting along again, and they're cleaning up the mess too. Their sister sure looks happy!]
