Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

[Finding the lady in white was on his list of things to do, and seeing as he wasn't in the middle of something and the woman he spotted seemed to fit the bill, he decided to fill that quest now.

Donning his more knightly (and more respectful) persona, he approached the woman and offered a small bow as he might have to a person of higher class or rank back in the day; after all, that was pretty much what she was.]

Might I have the honor of speaking with the Cleric skill master?

[She looks over at him, arms crossed. Look out Johnny, this lady has a chip on her shoulder.]

Yeah, sure. You feeling honored yet?

[He tried very hard to make sure his 'charming smile' didn't turn into an amused smirk.]

Why of course. I was wondering what I might have to do to receive your wisdom.

[Why, no, he isn't going to give this angle up.]

[Oh, Johnny. If she knew that he usually behaves like the bane of healers everywhere, she'd be shoving her staff where the sun doesn't shine right now out of principle!]

Sweet talker, aren't you? Well, all right, I took this gig so I guess I have to see it through. Tell me a little about your party, first.

[Whoops, that actually makes him pause because did he even have a party? Sort of. Fai and Sola probably counted.]

One's a warrior and the other's a mage. They can both be fairly reckless, though for different reasons.

[Good thing she doesn't know how much of a hypocrite he is as well-]

But you look after them anyway, don't you? You wouldn't abandon them even if they did something stupid.

[Yes, that is a good thing. She's pretty fierce when she gets irritated, don't test her mister!]

[That question brings a bit more seriousness out of him, loyalty and protecting those he cared about weren't options to him.]

Of course I'd look after them, no matter how stupid they were or at what cost.

[There was still a knight under all that flamboyancy and hypocrisy.]

[She smiles a bit at that.]

That's the right attitude. People are idiots. They're going to run themselves ragged over and over again when just a little thought would have saved them - and you - so much trouble it's not even funny. But you know what? You've got to believe in yourself and your team anyway. You've got to have faith.

[And if Johnny's really listening to what she's saying, he'd find that suddenly he has exactly that - the skill, that is. The other sort is harder to come by.]
