An abandoned village that was on the island has been converted into liveable property. Because this is (hopefully) a very temporary thing, we don't have an exact list of who lives in what house. At this point new characters could either A, get really lucky and manage to find a house to squat live in, it might be dusty and fairly disused though; B, camp out under the stars, tents and blankets and such would be available from the storage buildings and you can handwave them getting some from an NPC; and C, there are some big is at least one big, warehouse like, hall like building in which they could also catch some sleep for the night. Or alternatively, they could always ask to stay with some of the already present characters. A good way to make new friends.
