I forgot to mention one thing. Italy has this huuuge curl coming out of the side of his head. It is considered the "sexual something of Italians." Basically when it's pulled or touched, he gets all hot and bothered but also more noticeably, incredibly calm. Germany discovered this once and tugs on it to calm him down. Japan wants to tug on it because it looks like a wild fern curl (and Japan does like his gardens).
Even with as bit as it is, somehow it rarely gets caught on anything. The only time he's gotten it caught was when he and his brother were fighting and their curls got stuck together. Germany had to untangle them.
