[ History ] : Kunzite is very confident and sure of himself at first in the anime, when he aided or comforted Zoisite. After Zoisite's death Kunzite became very driven and a little obsessed with discovering Sailor Moon's identity rather than taking the Silver Crystal.
During the anime, he has a relationship with fellow shitennou Zoisite. He is often seen calming the younger man during tense situations. The two are never far apart from one another even during missions.
When he finally met his death Sailor Moon attempted to useMoon Healing Escalation upon him, but he refused to call out "Refresh!" and dishonor the Dark Kingdom, and instead tried to stab Sailor Moon with sharp projectiles. Sailor Moon simply hit them back at him, impaling him, and he subsequently died, calling out to Zoisite to meet him on the other side.
[ Personality ] : Most described Kunzite as "the greatest and best" of the Shitennou, that he "has the air of an Arabian king" and that he is "silent and calm" but "frightening when angry.
He is in a relationship with Zoisite where with scenes of them together, you get to see a softer side to the man. He tends to be calming and reassuring around Zoisite while towards others he appears icy and cold. Sometimes emotionless. He tends to work either on his own or with Zoisite to complete missions for Queen Beryl. Most people think him a heartless man because of his exterior but inside he is complex and intelligent. He has a sensitive side because you see that coming out when he is with Zoisite.
When faced against the Sailor senshi, he puts up a front which shows his cold, icy side. Professional or not, most underestimate Kunzite's deeper softer emotion inside.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ]
He is a good leader, confident, strong, powerful with dark energy. Being able to work on his own he can achieve tasks set out by his superiors. He is arrogant, cocky, self assured of himself at times, under estimates Sailor Moon and her friends. Sometimes his love for Zoisite can make him a little unsure of persuing his missions at times. He is always in conflict with Queen Beryl secretly over what she did to the other shitennou. This can cloud his judgment at times.
Kunzite has the ability to create dark energy swords and dark energy shields. As a reference to being a Shitennou. He can also teleport from any given place.

Kunzite wasn't in the best of moods when he met Sailor Mercury. As always she tried to best him by wanting a fight. Using her water abilities to their best use, Kunzite declined. He had other, better uses for his time than to engage Mercury. He still had to gain the crystals for Queen Beryl. Something all of the shitennou had to do. Unless they wanted a painful death or an existence not worth thinking about.
Using her beauty in front of him, he flirted openly. He took it onboard but didn't press the matter any further. How she could stand being with those Sailor brats was beyond him. She was one though, wasn't she? She acted as if she was far superior to them. More intelligent. Well, she was but being left out? That was something that Kunzite could see in her face and hear in her voice.
It seems the happy band of senshi scouts weren't so happy after all. He smirked. Finding the whole situation rather amusing. He liked being amused. Then Zoisite appeared. As he often did when Kunzite was around. Not much was discussed concerning their mission to gain the crystals. They exchanged some kisses and caresses as they often did. It was hard to get alone time when Beryl was constantly looking down her nose at them. Kunzite enjoyed being with Zoisite. It was a rest from doing the hard job of trying to defeat the senshi and avoid Beryl's wrath.
