Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

[A bard stumps into the library, holding his harp like a shield and his pipe like an axe, his codpiece leading the way.]

Wwell? I heard you havve a bunch a somethin' to kill.

Hush! Don't stomp around, this is a library!!

[The librarian turns from adjusting the boards on the windows, putting her hands on her hips. Is that a... is he excited to see her?

...huh.]

I do. Those harpies on the roof just won't be quiet. I don't care how you get rid of them, just do it!

Oh. [He frowns and quiets his voice a little] Don't look at me like that, either. I didn't pick this foolish outfit. But I'll get rid a the harpies.

[He might try to beat them with the pipe]

[She kind of can't help it, Dualscar. The codpiece just... sticks out there. She clears her throat.]

The roof access is this way.

[The librarian leads him back to a utility room with a tall set of stairs. The library is large, so there are plenty of stairs anyway - but these are the only ones that go all the way up.

If she has to come back for his corpse, she won't be happy.]

[Welp, he heads up to the roof to do battle with the harpies.

He's probably not going to die. Uh. Probably.]

[He better not make any noise either! For now the librarian heads back into the library proper, handing out earplugs. She expects a lot of screeching harpy during this fight.]

[Unfortunately, there is indeed a lot of screeching harpy, not to mention yelling and swearing troll. And a sort of twanging sound like someone beating a harpy to death with a lute]

[Dualscar won't get gratitude when he heads back downstairs. Instead he'll get a sassy librarian shoving soap in his mouth.

Well, that could have gone better.]
