Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

[Oh no, she's so cute! How can he try to teach her like he does everyone else?! Well, she's an adventurer even if she's a kid, so she's going to be fighting anyway...]

That's right. Are you a mage, little one?

[She puts on her most serious and determined face. This is important!]

[Well, she was trying, at least.]

I'm hoping to get better.

[No, curses, he might have to actually teach instead of just pitting his student against an illusionary minotaur! He's not good at teaching, he's only good at being cryptic and speaking in platitudes!]

Perhaps I can help you out a little, then. What do you think of how long it takes to cast a spell, hmm? Has it given you any trouble yet?

[She nods. It did seem to take a little while when she and Darkleer had been trying to get rid of those weed things.]

It takes a little longer than I'd like. It made me feel slow.

Well, let an old man teach you a little trick, then.

[He reaches out and pats her head gently. He can choose to simply impart the ability if he wants to, but he does so love watching people panic and try to fight the minotaur and figure it out themselves. He can't do that to a little girl though.]
