Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

Oh, I think you'll find that people who lack time find a way to make more...

[Poor Undertaker, all his powers sealed off like this. He won't have advance warning for what's coming. There's a bright light suddenly, then a massive minotaur swinging right for his face. With not enough time to cast, he's going to have to figure out something quick. Can he bend time now that the situation is desperate?

He just might be able to.]

[There was no time to move out of range, not with the limits of his body now. More time, if the sands were to slow so would the world, and as the staff slammed to the ground in preparation for the attack it did. The feeling wasn't all that different from freeze, though it was far quicker it seemed and didn't require the time to prep. Brushing back the hood of his robe and the hair from his eyes, Undertaker grinned.]

Buried in the sands of time, secrets lying in silent tongues, arcane blast.

[There's a flash of light, and then the minotaur vanishes, leaving just the small man sitting there again.]

My, you certainly know how to keep your cool, don't you? I had quite honestly expected a bit more flailing than that.

A flailing rabbit is easily caught.

[It would have been more effective to push off the club with the staff than to try to dodge flatfooted. The scar across his face might hint that Undertaker knows quite well how to take care of himself.]

Though I was certain I'd be in one of my custom made coffins by the end of the day~

Hohoho. Well, I'm afraid you won't be able to make use of that new skill of yours too terribly often, so use it wisely! It needs a few days to recharge. This time won't count, though - you weren't actually fighting in reality.

Gufu~ Oh, quite a lot of time to gain a few seconds. Though it seemed quite real. [Undertaker grins a bit, allowing his hair to fall back into his face and fixing up the hood once more.]

Time is not so flexible that you can go bending it all the time. I think you'll find that this is sufficient, though, especially as you start learning stronger spells.

[Instant cast third tier skills often ends in the enemy dying before they can take a step!]
