Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

You have to watch out for those screeching plants! I think I passed out for hours when I tried to weed one.

[She sets about making him more health potions - because what use would a warrior have for any other sort? None!]

Wow, I hope you're okay. Those things pack a wallop. Maybe you should keep a health potion yourself, just in case.

[He smiles and waits for his bounty, thanking the girl and heading off.

[The next morning he's there with yet another bushel, two beheaded mandrake roots included. It seems he's forgotten to take out his earplugs though since he's talking louder than normal.]

GOOD MORNING! HERE'S YOUR ROOTS!

[She covers her ears, glaring up at Sola.]

Not so loud!

[Gosh, this kid. He's so much trouble...]

Oops!

[Out come the earplugs. He looks sheepish.]

Sorry. These are good against the mandrakes though!

[He chats a bit with her as she makes his potion for the day and thanks her warmly.

The next day he's back with even more, but this time he remembers to take the earplugs out before showing up. There's no mandrake roots this time.]

Your garden really grows fast.

This isn't my garden. It's just the park! I used to like to eat lunch here, but now it's full of mean plants...

[She peers at him curiously. No roots? Weird.]

Well if you care about it enough to get someone to weed it then it's kinda your garden. Actually a park is like everyone's garden, isn't it?

[Sola's got weird ideas.

He definitely brings a bunch of mandrake roots the next time. It seems as if the one day without being screamed at by plants was the plants regrouping. Sola actually doesn't even show up until mid-afternoon, having passed out from one that had gotten behind him even before he put in his ear plugs.

They were ready for him. But he managed anyway, so here he is park girl, looking significantly worse for the wear.]

Here's the roots.

Umm, are you okay? You don't look so good... maybe you should take a break.

[He's always pushing himself, okay? Even adventurers should take a day off.]

I'll be okay, I just need to rest.

[He'll just... sit down right here.

...

Don't mind him if he naps for an hour.]

[She'll cover him with a little blanket. He might be a genocidal maniac, but he still deserves to rest easy!]

[The next day he's late again. Not as tired, but the situation on the island has him worried. Something big is coming, he can feel it.]

Here you go. No screaming roots today, luckily!

Thanks! Are you feeling okay? You look like something's on your mind.

I'm okay. I'm just worried about Fluffy up on the beach.

[He figures she'd have heard about that by now.]

[If it's not a plant, she's not all that interested.]

Umm, Fluffy? Fluffy what?
