Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

[It won't exactly be all he's got, seeing as he can't flashstep. His act is so much more impressive when he can pretty much make it all about Cal. Now he's going to have to take a more conventional ventriloquist approach and actually stay in sight.

Then again, it's not that conventional. He can't resist throwing in a rap. The initial beatboxing comes from his own mouth, but then he switches to Cal for the lyrics.]

[The carnival owner stares at Bro silently for a full minute.]

That was...

[He lights up.]

Wonderful! Oh, that's exactly the sort of thing I've been hoping for! Do you want a costume too? We should get you a costume.

[Bro can dress just like him!]

[Yes! Mission accomplished. Nobody can resist his amazing rap ventriloquist skills. He knows there are videogames that have character costumes as additional bonus, so he'd be a fool to turn this down.]

You'll get Cal a costume too, right?

Of course! Just stay right here.

[He runs off to grab them some costumes. Moments later he's back with two hideous ringmaster costumes almost exactly like his own, one in Bro's size and one for his puppet. Don't ask how he magically had the right sizes.]

Now you'll really pull people in!

[Oh man. Now he's really milking this quest for all it's worth. That costume will look amazing on Cal. As for his own costume, he's mostly in it for the top hat. That is one swanky hat.]

Yeah, no kidding! It'd be pretty damn hard for people not to notice me in that.

Now get out there and reel me in some customers!

[Bro has received a really, really gaudy costume! Hopefully he won't use this for evil. He may not realize just how bad it is with the shades to shield his eyes a bit, but it's pretty bad. About as bad as that rap, really.]

[No no, it's not bad. It's ironic. Exactly what he'd look for in a costume title.]

Will do! [He'll do it for like... maybe ten minutes. Anything to finish the quest and move on to the next one.]
