Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

[She calls everyone well. It's part of her job to know what people are likely to do, otherwise she ends up with nasty surprises.]

And that's just the start of it. Even after you sit them down and tell them to wait for a signal or some kind of coordinated effort, there will always be that one guy who just caaaaan't wait. He'll just say "tl;dr" and run right into the middle of a group of monsters!

And then that guy is the first one to yell "Heal me, heal me!" even though his own stupidity is what got him into trouble in the first place! It's like they don't understand that MP is finite!

[Equius, you understand her like no one else has so far. Well, there was Karkat, but he took a little convincing.]

Exactly! Thankfully, whatever twisted god made clerics gave us a little something to help out in those situations. When you're totally spent and your whole group is running around like chickens with their heads cut off, when you're absolutely certain you don't have one more heal left in you... you look deep inside yourself and you pull your shit together anyway, because you know for sure no one ELSE will. That's faith. Faith in yourself.

[Equius blinks then, surprised, as he feels the new ability spring forth in his mind. Now that he knows how to do it, it seems so incredibly simple, like he should have been able to figure it out on his own.]

Uh... is that the new ability?

[She nods, grinning a little bit.]

It sure is. Seems like a small thing, doesn't it? But you'll be thankful for it someday, trust me.
