The young Vegeta has separated himself positive emotions like friendship and love, but he still possesses the capacity for those feelings. This is likely because Frieza told him not to become too attached to any pets and he fears for the safety of anyone he gets close to.

Emotional strengths: * Determined * Nearly unbreakable mind - years and years under Frieza, and he never broke down and cried until his death. * Extremely loyal * Intelligent * Fearless - what's left to lose?
Physical weaknesses: * Next to none. If it's a physical attack, he can adapt to it eventually. Saiyans have an exceptional immune system as well. Considering their eating habits, it's probably a survival mechanism. However, to keep him in balance somewhat... * Magic. Vegeta has never encountered it. He will have no idea what to do with it and will be more vulnerable to that sort of attack. It is unlikely that he will develop much of a defense against magic. * And of course, his tail. It's extremely sensitive. He keeps it coiled tightly around his waist usually.
Emotional weaknesses: * Paranoia - Vegeta is convinced that everything is some plot of Frieza's. * Loneliness - Most of his race is dead and any friends he makes are killed by the overlord * Temper - Vegeta's temper is explosive and he's young enough that he can't always control it. It makes him sloppy in fights from time to time. * Pride - Vegeta is too prideful to sincerely ask for help. He would have to be at the end of his life to lower himself to that. Ordering people to do his bidding, on the other hand, is another matter entirely.
[ Other Important Facts ] : Saiyans transform upon seeing the full moon. Their moods may also be somewhat dependant on the cycle of the moon.
[ Sample ] : Vegeta, prince of all Saiyans, was lost. His scouter kept telling him that it was out of range and he felt the urge to crush the damn thing, but that could turn out badly if he was far enough from another habitable planet that he would need someone to pick him up.
No, it was better to survey his surroundings. This place was nothing like the pathetic planet he had been sent to enslave. They certainly didn't have technology advanced enough to build a city underwater, and - he jumped just to test it - the gravity was lighter, here. He fluffed his tail up in irritation. If he had no idea where he was, he couldn't be too forceful with gathering information. There was no way to tell who had favor with Frieza. He would have to play nicely.
"You," he barked at the nearest person. "What is this place?"
Just as a note on this application - I will be pulling Vegeta from BEFORE the events of DBZ to avoid some of the incredible power issues I think might be present otherwise. He's likely to grow stronger every time he gets himself beaten down since that's just how Saiyans work, but he won't be blowing up planets by farting on accident or anything ridiculous like that.
He can still fly and Saiyans are capable of going without breathing for some time (they are shown fighting in space with no protection), so chances are he will try to go up through the island and leave the planet altogether to figure out where he is. I'm assuming he'll be prevented somehow, so please just leave a note if there's a barrier or some other thing stopping him.
I will be limiting the external expression of his ki so that he can't just blow up the planet and move on. Call it an effect of the coral if that works. His capacity to take a hit, however, will not be reduced.
I would also like to know about Vatheon's moon if it has one and its schedule, please! <3 This has the ability to greatly affect both Vegeta's mood and possibly allow him to transform if he's up on the island.
I know DBZ is a super-OP series, and I'm definitely willing to work with the mods to make Vegeta someone who can hang around.
While the overall application so far was good, we would like to request an extended personality sample. We know you are apping him pre-series, and we agree with your reasoning for doing so, but we would like some more insight in how Vegeta acts and develops along the course of the canon as a guideline for how he could develop in vatheon.

As for your question, Vatheon does have a moon, but its rays would only affect him while he is up on the island. The rays cannot really penetrate to that degree down to the depths at which Vatheon lies. So, you are always free to have him transform, just make sure he goes stomping around up above and not down below!
Vegeta tsunned all the way through this, denying that he has anything to overcome emotionally
Over the course of the series, Vegeta slowly begins to soften. He learns that standing alone is not necessarily the best course of action, and that he doesn't need to be fighting all the time. It's okay (good, even!) to have someone to watch your back. He even learns to love and has a family that he cares for deeply. This development is likely bolstered by the defeat of Frieza, and I'm unsure how much Vegeta can progress without Frieza being addressed. Vegeta goes as far to say that Frieza made him who he is. It is heavily implied that he does not want to be the person he's become - he's in tears when he confesses that to Goku. Ideally, I would like one of Vatheon's ultimate Care Bears to start Vegeta along the path of forgiving himself. If he could learn camaraderie (as opposed to just, you know, blowing failures like Nappa up), I think that would go a long way, too.
