Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

[He looks almost perplexed by the question, but then his features fall into something more flat as he sneers.]

I think you're confused, I wasn't askin'.

[OH LAMUFAO THAT WOULD BE SO COOL! He might even grow up too! The kid jumps right into bed, staring up at the ceiling and waiting.]

Oh, I see! Well then, I'll be sure to teach you in the fastest way possible, sir.

[Eridan has crossed the wrong mage master. The library around them vanishes, and suddenly he would find himself face to face with a massive minotaur, seconds away from being smacked into a wall.]

[thalassino]

Fay...go?

[She's never heard of it.]

What's a faygo? Can you smash a wall with it?

[The flamboyant man is incredibly happy to have someone appreciating all this properly! He dances the afternoon away with Gamzee, busting out his own version of the Dancing Lights skill until the plaza looks like a bad rave.

Clearly, this is what it was really meant for.]

A Peculiar Shopping List

[ Okay so it didn't actually take as long to get as she had thought it might. It was sort of amazing to her how many of the creatures had just been carrying the item she needed (especially the mermaids; why are you carrying around extra tails, guys), but hey, she wasn't about to complain. That's why being able to steal shit was so great. Minimal fighting, reap all of the items.

So she shows up eventually, with a hefty sack filled with things that are thankfully no longer dropping blood, and she drops it onto a counter. ]

Present for the chef!

[He's mostly been trying to not let it bother him, but for a moment a very sad look passes over Sola's face.]

He died... It feels like I'm missing a part of me.

[oceanbreasts]

[ KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

I heard there's a kiddo who needs to calm his butt down and sleep for a bit? I've got a story guaranteed to knock him out.

If he died, how come the coral doesn't bring him back?

[Death just doesn't hold much meaning around here. They know that the foreigners get brought back if they die!]

Good--

[The word barely leaves him before everything's changed and suddenly there's some musclebeast-looking creature about to smash him! His eyes widen in surprised, and for a second he looks as if he's going to panic--but no, he's dealt with worse! With a snarl, and look of determination, he holds up his staff, aiming the tip at the minotaur...]

Freeze!

[Of course, he doesn't know if he'll be able to get it off in time, but that doesn't stop him from trying!]

Sack-ray blue! Did you fill my whole order?

[Yes, his accent is really so terrible it sounds more like "sack ray" than "sacre". Pretending to be French obviously makes his food taste better, okay?]

Haha, naw, nothing like that. Faygo is a miracle, motherfuckin' friendship-making put in a bottle.

[He gives her a big smile again and heads off to possibly get himself into a situation where he'll need to use his shiny new skill.

Not on purpose though. That would be dumb.]

[The mom leads Roxy back to the boy's room. He's currently running in a circle and making race car noises.]

I dunno I think the sack is more of a burlap color than whatever ray blue is...

[ squint. ]

Anyway, yep! Whole bunch of weird bits of creatures 'n junk. No point in coming back with only one set of the stuff!

[ No but it was inspired by one.

Roxy follows along, clutching the notebook under her arm. ]

Heya kiddo. You look bored as hell. Wanna hear a totally riveting tale about an awesome wizard? 'Cause you look like you do. It even has pictures!

[Freeze is a spell that can be cast pretty quickly and it might just slow the big guy down. Good thinking, Eridan! Too bad this is the old man's dream world, and he's not happy with Eridan. Sass the little old man, will he? Can't even be bothered to say please, can he?!

The minotaur swings at him widely. If it connects, Eridan would find himself about ten feet away from the thing after hitting a wall. It might not be reality, but it feels like it!]

Really?! Okay, their room is right in here!

[She practically runs back to the boys' bedroom, throwing the door open. Sure enough, there's a wall built smack down the middle of it. Only one boy is out where Gamzee could see him, and he looks pretty startled at the sudden intrusion.]

Where did you ever find the time?

[Ah, wait... he recognizes her class now. She's a rogue. The chef sprawls over his cash register, looking at her suspiciously, suddenly speaking without an accent.]

Well, thanks lady. You can go back to the quest board and get your points now. Go ahead!

[To be fair, who wouldn't be surprised at a dude in a codpiece showing up, seriously.

Gamzee raises a hand, grinning at him.]

Yo. Where's your bro at? I got me some wicked truth what to impart on you motherfuckers.

[terribubbly]

[ Feferi makes a great deal of grouching and fussing as she cleans up the shop for the second time in a row. It's all very bizarre and dramatic, fishgirl flapping around in cleric robes and neatening things up is just a bit of weirdness.

She'll pop her head in the shop when she's done, calling out: ]

Glub glub, heyyy, I fixed it up for you!

[And suddenly Gamzee would find that the sister is hitting him. It's one thing if he says those bad words in front of her, she knows better than to use them. He can't say them around her brothers!]

Don't use bad words!

[The brother giggles behind his hands.]

You're in troooouuuuble!

Uh.

[ Roxy just sort of leans back as he leans in and she takes a few steps back with a cautious thumbs up. ]

Right-o. Just gonna... yeah. You enjoy those tails 'n stuff.

[ Time to abscond.

That was the weirdest encounter ever. ]
