Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

[Eridan looks somewhat proud when the bolt hits... but then the Minotaur is still coming at him. He grits his teeth, thinking quickly and... He feels something, he isn't sure what, but maybe if he focuses a bit, and...]

Water!

[He casts that quickly enough, sending the jet of water barreling towards the minotaur, but maybe he can just...]

Bolt!

[He surprises himself, feeling as though he did much more than just cast another spell, but did so in rapid succession. Sending the arching bolt of lightning to follow swiftly after the previous aquatic spell. Maybe he doesn't need the old man anymore, maybe he's got this shit figured out and that tiny robed man can suck his bulge! He's clearly a master mage here.]

[Unfortunately, there is indeed a lot of screeching harpy, not to mention yelling and swearing troll. And a sort of twanging sound like someone beating a harpy to death with a lute]

Maybe you could put a lock on the lid or something so it'll only open up if you open it? Or I could hide here and watch for who does it and stop them.

Wow, I hope you're okay. Those things pack a wallop. Maybe you should keep a health potion yourself, just in case.

[He smiles and waits for his bounty, thanking the girl and heading off.

[The next morning he's there with yet another bushel, two beheaded mandrake roots included. It seems he's forgotten to take out his earplugs though since he's talking louder than normal.]

[He holds out the note, hoping the brother will open the window to take it.]

And also I want to tell you that I'm making a cake but it's a special cake that everybody has to eat together so you won't get any unless you at least try and talk to your brother, okay? You're both making your sister really sad.

[He went at it alone, and the flute worked well as a bashing weapon for the small gremlins. He did get a bit scratched, though, and his outfit is a little grimy by the time he drags back with the bag of ingredients]

One's a warrior and the other's a mage. They can both be fairly reckless, though for different reasons.

[Lucky for Fai he's got fairly quick reflexes. As soon as he senses that minotaur behind him he spins to face it, placing himself between it and the man.]

It's not nice to sneak up on people.

[Lucky for Fai, he's used magic before and used to have the power to travel through time and space. So adjusting the area around him and focusing his abilities was like second nature at this point. He manages to send off a blast of fire in the minotaur's direction after giving himself enough of a break with that time bend.]

I know. [Is it complaining time already? Equius thinks it's complaining time.] There's always some fool wandering off, or getting lost, and deciding to try their own thing and then needing someone to swoop in and save them. It's mind-boggling.
