Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

Why don't you just punch the walls down?

[Because not everyone is STRONG enough to do radical interior redesigning by punching down walls, Equius, gosh!]

I don't think I'm strong enough to punch down a wall... could you do it, mister?

[She looks hopeful.]

Uh... no, not right now.

[Damn being a cleric!]

But you could ask some warriors, they could probably do it.

[It is a pretty rickety wall, Equius might actually be able to knock it over with his staff if he got a good look at it.]

Oh... well, maybe you could just talk to them, then? They won't listen to me.

I could try, I suppose.

[He might be in a white mage's outfit, but his muscles and basic build are still the same. Equius takes a deep breath.]

You there! BOYS! Listen!

[One boy pokes his head out of the bedroom. The other doesn't have access to the door and has to use his window, and he's not willing to stop guarding his wall.]

What do you want, mister?

You're being foolish. This wall isn't doing anything but upsetting your sister. Even if you wanted to defend your territory from each other, the building techniques you used are sloppy at best. You should have [oh no, here he goes, talking about building techniques and mechanics. halp halp this isn't helping!]

[No, this is helping immensely! Both boys seem to realize halfway into the rant how crappy their wall really is, and they start working to tear it down. If they want to build a proper wall, they're going to have to cooperate.

Of course, if they're cooperating, they'll probably make up.

The sister just kind of stares at Equius a bit.]

Umm... thanks. I think.

[Excuse him, now they're screwing up the demolition!]

[She'll just leave Equius to oversee this and start in on lunch, then. Good job, Equius.

Here's to hoping the boys don't get in another fight after this, because they'll know how to build a proper wall now.]
