Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

[Bonus skill? Yeah, that sounds useful. Deciding that it couldn't hurt to check this out, Shiro goes and looks for the female warrior mentioned on the quest board.]

[Of course she is! No one else around looks as tough as she does, right? She lifts her chin to Shiro, appraising him.]

I hear you know a skill that you're willing to teach other warriors.

[She flexes at Shiro, giving off an odd sort of sparkling.]

I'm not teaching you so much as reminding you just how AMAZING your own body is. Tell me about the closest fight you've ever been in, warrior.

[Even Rin knows to get some of the easier ones out of the way first, and skills are always good in these sorts of things, so he figures this is a good place to start before he heads up to the island with his dad.

He waits for Shiro to go first, wandering around a bit before finally approaching.]

Hmm. It's okay, but I don't know if you'll be able to really understand this skill if you've had it easy. You really have to be pushed to your limit to get it...

[But okay! If that's never happened to Rin, she'll just show him! The warrior woman advances on him, blunt training hammer in hand, and she swings it at him VERY hard.

Sure sucks to be Rin, warriors don't have as much agility as he's used to!]

[ So maybe he looks a little silly with a shield tucked under his arm rather than strapped anywhere. It doesn't help that his left hand is.... not there at all. ]

[Pepper walks up to the woman, looking a little hesitant about approaching her]

Hello? I saw a posting for a quest specifically for warriors?

[The woman grins widely at Pepper. Finally, another woman! It's her firm belief that women make better warriors, though she won't be turning down any male students.]

That's right.

[She flexes impressively.]

[Oh well she certainly seems friendly enough. Her smile widens.]

I have to admit I'm a little new at all of this so I could probably use all the help I can get.

[Tifa is an experienced fighter, but having to wield a sword of all things is making her feel like a beginner again. It wouldn't hurt to get a little help.]

You're the woman offering training for warriors?

[Another woman, and this one looks like she knows her way around a fight! The warrior skill master grins and claps Tifa on the shoulder hard.]

You've got it! How long have you been using a sword, now?

[Tifa barely flinches at the shoulder clap. Not quite as hard as Barret.]

Not even a week, I'm afraid. I'm used to fighting with my fists.
