◣ Application ◢

APPLICATIONS ARE Closed

Applications will always be open from the 22nd until the end of the month, 12:00am EST.

Please note that as of July 28th, Vatheon will start working towards end game.

August 31st is the last day for applying. We will no longer open applications after that. Thank you for your consideration.

» Please make sure that you read the rules, and check the reserves before applying. People who do not read the rules will be rejected immediately.

» You are allowed to apply for two characters per application cycle. You may also reserve two characters. We will try to review each application as soon as possible. If longer than a week has passed and you have not heard back anything about your application, please drop us a message.

» Don't lie in your application. Don't copy / paste things from wiki. Keep what you post in your application strictly you. Sure, it's hard to add your own flair to writing history or a personality, but try to keep from summarizing too much. Show us your shine! Plagiarizing another player's application is ground for an immediate rejection.

» If someone has a reserve for a character, and you want to apply for them, you have the choice of either A) challenging the application with one of your own or B) waiting until the reserve expires and then applying/reserving as the character. If you challenge the original reserver, your application will not be reviewed until the original reserver has submitted theirs.

» Currently, the character limit is five characters. Any more is up to the mods, and must be discussed ahead of time with them. You may only apply for two characters from the same canon.

» Keep spamming to a minimum on the applications. Wait until that person is accepted into the game before holding out a conversation on a thread. Comment spamming here makes things cluttered, and a mod may accidentally miss something important. ( But feel free to comment-spam the Reserve page, if you'd like. )

» Please don't skip over any section of the application below.

» Please finish your application before posting. We reserve the right to decline any applications that are still unfinished when we process them.

» When reviewing applications, we take opinions of our members into consideration. If you would like to make a comment about an app that is being decided upon, do not hesitate. Here is where you can leave a comment with what you thought of another app. All comments will be screened for privacy, and the option to be anon will be left on. Do note, player opinions do not decide if an application is accepted or not, but will be taken into consideration.

☆ Player - - -

( Player Name ) : A nickname will work. Whatever you would like to be listed as.
( Personal DW ) : Not your character's journal. Your own, just in case one of the mods ever needs to contact you that way.
( Age ) : No players under the age of 15, please!
( Timezone ) : Just for reference sake!
( Other Characters ) : At Vatheon, that is. Please list in the following format.
Character ( Character's Journal ) | Series

☆ Character - - -

( Character's Name ) :
( Character's Age ) : There is no set age limit for the characters, and in fact, this is very flexible. So long as your character is mature enough to take care of him or herself and is mature enough for the game, they can be apped! As a basic guideline, think the maturity of someone around the age of 13 or so.
( Series ) :
( Canon Point ) : What part of the story of the series is your character coming in after? Did he or she just die? Did something traumatic just happen? Is it near the end, the beginning, or the middle? Tell us!
( Playability ) : If you are apping your second person for a particular canon, please give us a quick reasoning on why the characters would not be extensively interacting/how you are planning to avoid any playercest issues. If you are not apping from a canon you already play in, please disregard this section.

( History ) : You may provide us with a link to a wiki-page, or something else that will sufficiently give the Community and the mods background on your canon. If you wish to write out the history yourself, you still may do such.

( Personality ) : Probably the most important part of the application! Tell us what your character is like. We're looking for a well-developed analysis of the character. Perhaps between three to five paragraphs, roughly. Feel free to do more or less, however, if you think that better suits you. Most applications will be closer to the three than the five, and that's completely okay!

Just make sure to hit on crucial aspects of that character. What does he or she like? What does he or she hate? What are his or her motives? What parts of your character's past influenced how they are? Does your character act differently in front of different groups of people? Think of these questions as you write. Feel free to go off the page and focus on other questions. The above questions were just to get you thinking.

( Strengths/Weaknesses ) : So tell us! What can your character do well? What is your character weak against? Any cool spells? Good at picking locks? Anything you can think of, put it here.

( Other Important Facts ) : Have something else important to mention about your character that doesn't really fit in anywhere else? Be sure to include it here!

( Sample ) : This can be in first person or third person. There's no limit to your sample post. Just be sure to include your character's voice. Don't just write your character walking around! Be sure to include thoughts, quirks, and anything else that shows us you know your character. How would he or she react to the mark? How would he or she react to waking up some place new? Is he or she still brooding over something? The sample does not have to be set in Vatheon. You may also link to other roleplay threads; just be sure to give us something that shows how you plan to play them and clearly shows their voice! Or feel free to do a few of the above. Whatever you think will best show your characterization.

Please note! If you are linking samples, please make sure that at least one sample is from within the last three months. You are still free to link other samples that are older in addition, if you feel these would help show your ability to play the character, but at least one sample needs to be recent. Thank you.

If you are unable to think of a good starting point for a sample, we collected some prompts of situations that are pretty likely to happen within Vatheon to start you off. You are very welcome to deviate from these prompts or come up with something completely new. This is just something to hopefully help you get started:

A new curse has settled upon the city of Vatheon: Suddenly you character realizes they are unable to lie for the duration of a week. How do they react?

What is this? Is that rain? How nice-- wait a minute, is it raining rubber duckies? Seriously?

Suddenly, by the force of Vatheon, an over zealous npc, or even your character's friends playing a joke, your character suddenly finds themselves wearing clothes they otherwise would never wear. What do?

The city of Vatheon is under attack (again). Giant sea-creatures are wrecking the city (again). Time to prepare for battle.

A new plot development has happened and your character has decided to get some more information from one of the NPCs. How do they proceed?

( Questions? Comments? Concerns? ) : Tell us here!

shesapir8: (And I love to fix 'em)

Marquise Spinneret Mindfang | Homestuck | Reserved | 2/2

[personal profile] shesapir8 2012-10-24 12:29 pm (UTC)(link)
( Personality ) :Mindfang believes she is the best. Like no one ever was.

No, but in all serious, she believes she is the best, and she shows that opinion. She's cocky, arrogant, and mocks and belittles everyone. At times she believes she has a right to things and the fact that she is aware of her ability to manipulate the wills of others doesn't help with her belief. Even when she falls she gets back up and continues to be cocky, though she does recognise that she has underestimated her oponent. There's no changing her. You can cut off her arm and she'll just get back up proclaiming that now it can be a fair fight.

At the same time, Mindfang has another side to herself, in which she shows that she can care. She does care. Despite mocking Dualscar for his own quirks and flaws, she did care as she feels she was broken hearted when he broke of their relationship. She also cares when her slave (Assumed to be The Dolorosa) is assassinated, despite the fact the woman was of lower blood than Mindfang, as well as a slave. She felt that their relationship could have moved into a red romance, and seemed to have a genuine interest in the woman despite controlling her will a large amount of the time.

Mindfang also relishes competition, to the point that one of the biggest flaws she found in Dualscar is that she felt he did not challenge her enough. This competitive streak, or need to have a rivalry doesn't mean that she is content with losing though, she simply wants the excitement it offers. And when the chance of competition escapes her, she is disappointed, even if in return she has won. Despite it being necessary for her survival, she regrets causing Redglare's death, believing that the other woman could have offered her a challenge that she had been missing.

And she can be sensible, and at times, she accepts her fate. She accepts the cards that the game of life gives her, and then she plays them to the best of her abilities, occassionally with a little bit of 'cheating'. At the same time, she's careful, careful enough to pay her own bounties off after she commits her crimes, which can only encourage those higher than her to overlook her. And when told her matesprite will be the one to kill her she accepts it.

Another thing that makes Mindfang different is her lack of interest in the blood caste system. She's not about to go charging out and spreading The Sufferer's words, but Dualscar says she tends to encourage red romance between herself and lowbloods, something which disgusts him. She also becomes aware that her destined Matesprite will be a lowblood and she accepts this, deciding she will pursee that relationship anyway, where as she could have avoided it completely if she had wished to.

As the ancestor of Vriska Sekret, it is impossible not to notice the similarities between Mindfang and Vriska. They are genetically matched after all. However, whether this just means that many of their traits are shared by those of the same shade of blue blood, or that Vriska modelled her behaviour on Mindfang or that it’s just a coincidence is unknown. But while Mindfang and Vriska have similar personalities they differ, both due to a difference in life situations and the fact that Mindfang is much older than Vriska. As a whole Mindfang is more mature than Vriska, not as childish or pushy.

( Strengths/Weaknesses ) :
Strengths
Physical; Mindfang is seen to have and incredibly high pain tolerence as well as the ability to withstand substancial blood loss. Redglare's removal of her arm doesn't seem to slow her, despite the amount of blood loss she suffers and the lack of any medical attention she gets.

She is also apparently incredible strong as she takes on and defeats His Honourable Tyranny, a monster far larger than her size, whilst suffering from blood loss and missing a limb. She actually considers it to now be a fair fight.

Her new robotic limb also lends to her strength, as the limb does not tire and does not bleed. I also imagine it'd be stronger than her biological arm.

Psychological; Quite cunning and a very big manipulator, Mindfang possess a quick and clever mind. She's had years of practice in seeing the possible courses of actions, and her kismesisittude with Dualscar only increased that skill.

Her biggest mental strength of course, is her ability to control the minds of those weaker than her, which is further explained in the Other Important Facts section.

Emotional; Nothing seems to ever truly effect Mindfang. She's had many red romances, and a few black, and she prides herself on coming out on top of all those. She's lost plenty and yet she still remains her cocky self.

Weaknesses
Physical; Her robotic arm is both a positve and a negative. Yes it is stronger and cannot be harmed in the ways a flesh one could. But gears can also become jammed and broken, and if a wire comes loose then it can easily become a huge problem. There is also a slight amount of pain caused by it daily, where metal meets the flesh of her shoulder. Her shoulder can easily become sore.

Also thanks to Redglare, she has a massive blind spot on her left side, due to that eye's blindness. This can prove to be a problem in battle, but over the years she has learnt to work with it and compensate.

Psychological; Mindfang is cocky. This has in the past caused her problems, as she can be prone to underestimating a threat or overestimating her strengths. Yes she defeated His Honourable Tyranny but there was a lot of luck in there, and it could have easily been her death there.

Her blindless has also meant the loss of her Eightfold vision, meaning she lacks her ability to see into the cueball and see fates, as well as anything else.

Emotional; While she puts on a good facade, Mindfang has lived a long time. She cares, as seen with her mourning over Dolorosa's death, and her going out of to make sure her descendant knew who she was and giving her access to things that would give her a bonus in life. It's even obvious with her decision to find The Summoner and be his matesprit, even though she knows it will mean her death. Heck she even misses Dualscar in her old age though she'd never ever admit it.

Simply showing these feelings means showing weaknesses in Alternia Society.

( Other Important Facts ) :
As a troll Mindfang is much stronger than the average human, and as a pirate, Mindfang has her fair share of fighting skills, which are generally in sword play and the use of her dice, the Fluorite Octet though she does poses other combat skills and plenty of experience in using them. She is also a talented manipulator and thief and has some skill in hiding things, seeing how she stole Doc Scratch’s cue ball and then successful kept hidden from him with the help of Darkleer.

In a skill that only she and her descendant have been shown to have, she is also talented in manipulating others through the use of mind control, and seems to be much more skilled at this then Vriska, which is probably due to her age. This power appears to only work on those of a lower blood than hers, as well as only on weak willed people. It is also reasonable to assume she has the skill to read minds. She also possesses Vision Eightfold, with one of her eyes being dotted with seven pupils. By focusing with this eye she seems to possess a sort of X-Ray vision which she used in the past to see into Doc Scratch’s magic cue ball. This eye is however apparently delicate, as Mindfang goes blind in it after meeting the dragon Pyralspite’s gaze.

Her pre-scratch self Aranea also shows that she possesses a skill in empath, an ability I feel Mindfang shares, as she is seen a few times picking up on the emotions of others, such as her slave's nervousness and Dualscar's quadrant flipping into red for her. It may just be that she's an excellent reader of people or that others are just very obvious with their emotions but Aranea's information lends credence to the idea.

As for more physical items, she also possesses a robotic arm, made for her by Darkleer after its loss in hers and Redglare’s battle.

( Character's Name ) : Laharl
( Character's Age ) : 1313
( Series ) : Disgaea
( Canon Point ) : Post-Hour of Darkness (good ending)

( History ) :
Linkage.

( Personality ) :
On the surface, Laharl is arrogant, rude, and egotistical. Actually, he has a long list of personality traits that most people would find fault with. He's quick-tempered, brash, selfish, demanding, stubborn, impatient, tactless, insensitive, and at times just plain mean. As a demon--and not just any demon, but the Overlord of the Netherworld--he considers this to be the way he should act. After all, an Overlord should be powerful enough to get what he wants, either through intimidation or sheer force. He should be so feared and respected that he shouldn't have to make concessions to anyone. And so, Laharl tries to act accordingly.

He tends to put people off by acting like they're comparatively worthless, but he isn't out to make friends. He is intelligent, and certainly capable of maturity, but because he prefers to solve problems and conflicts through brute strength, he often comes off as childish. He's easily annoyed or frustrated when he doesn't get his way, and makes compromises very grudgingly. It can be difficult to get him to do things without blackmail. However, he will freely help others if he sees something in it for himself, though he'll be sure to point that out so you know he's still being selfish. If there isn't actually anything in it for him, he'll be sure to make something up.

To a certain degree, that's just how he is. But part of his behavior has been deliberately built up over centuries. In particular, he is not nearly as cruel and uncaring as he makes himself out to be. Most demons deny their own ability to feel things like love and compassion, and Laharl takes that to an extreme. His father was Overlord before him, but his mother was human, and she tried to raise him to be kind. Unfortunately, when he was still very young, Laharl contracted a fatal illness, the only cure for which was the life of someone who loved him. His mother gave her life to save him, and from that moment on he grew to hate the emotion which drove her to do it. Laharl has spent most of his 1313 years in fierce denial of "love." Deep down, he's afraid of it. He doesn't want to experience the same loss of someone he loves, and he especially doesn't want to be the cause of that loss. He's very possessive of those he considers his vassals, and anything that causes them to leave him can incur his fury.

Before meeting Flonne, it's true he had made himself into a pretty cruel person. He has probably taken lives in the past. But she has been slowly healing the damage of his mother's death and drawing out the kinder side of him. Laharl is the sort of person whose actions speak louder than words, and although he continues to refute love aloud, he's grown softer in his actions: he takes his defeated enemies on as vassals instead of killing them, will no longer outright dismiss requests for help, and even managed to forgive Etna for betraying him. Most notably, he was willing to sacrifice his own life for Flonne's, and although he tries not to put too much thought into what that means, he is vaguely aware it represents a change in himself.

( Strengths ) :
♦ Laharl is a serious powerhouse. Canonly (as long as he's the main character anyway), he overpowers all opponents, including dozens of demons contending for the throne, an entire armada of 2-million battleships, and the ruler of Celestia who theoretically should be his equivalent. Most of his magic is unsurprisingly fire-based, and he prefers a sword although he's well-versed in the use of most weapons and his own two fists. Naturally this will all be toned down so he won't be able to destroy the entire bubble.
♦ Sharp senses are part of the package. Laharl is frequently the first to notice anyone approaching, and he's tough to sneak up on. Unless he's sleeping.
♦ He can really take a beating. Stab him, pummel him, shoot him with a minigun-- he'll probably just come out of it with a few bruises.
♦ He has a high resistance to poison. The most deadly poisons will just put him to sleep for a while.
♦ He is a scarfbending master. His scarf is good for flight and hammerspace, and can be prehensile.

( Weaknesses ) :
♦ He's "allergic" to buxom women. Being in close proximity to one can physically weaken him to the point of nausea or even paralysis. He can still fight in this weakened state if he closes his eyes, but he's significantly less effective, and he'd rather just keep his distance.
♦ He's also weak against excessive optimism and phrases like "eternal love." With Flonne around, he's developing a resistance, but being shot in the head is probably less painful for him.
♦ He's incredibly bad at understanding how people are feeling, including himself. On the rare occasion that he actually cares to know, it has to be explained to him. Sometimes repeatedly.

( Other Important Facts ) :
He carries with him Flonne's pendant, which burns people with wicked hearts. It doesn't burn him so naturally he's convinced it's broken.

Burgh | Pokemon | Not Reserved

[personal profile] creative_lovebug 2012-10-27 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Player Name ] : Seph
[ Personal DW ] : N/A
[ Age ] : 26
[ Timezone ] : UK GMT
[ Other Characters ] : Wallace [champ_coordinator]

[ Character's Name ] : Burgh
[ Character's Age ] : Around 25
[ Series ] : Pokemon
[ Canon Point ] : During Black and White when Team Plasma are trying to cause chaos throughout the Unova region.

[ History ] :

Burgh (Japanese: アーティ Arti) is the Gym Leader of Castelia City Gym, known officially as the Castelie Gym. He specializes in Bug-type Pokémon and gives the Insect Bdge to Trainers who defeat him.

Burgh appears in Pokemon Black and White as the Gym Leader of Castelia City's Gym, the third Gym to be challenged by the player. He is also an artist and apparently started his career in Nacrene City, which he often comes back to when he gets "artist's block." Trainers who defeat Burgh will receive the Insect Badge, along with TM76 Struggle Bug.

He also reappears at N's Castle where he and the other Unova Gym Leaders hold off the Seven Sages. In Pokemon Black and White 2, Burgh returns as a Gym Leader. The TM Burgh gives away remains the same.

During the anime:

Burgh was first shown wrapped up in his green poncho and hanging on a rope to live like a forest Pokémon. Ash and Iris see this and were obviously surprised, before he unraveled and told them not to make too much noise. Burgh is also a fashion designing genius prodigy, but was having a hard time coming up with new ideas, so he said he goes to the forest to find inspiration. He also teaches Ash and Iris about studying Pokémon and getting to know them before capturing them. After seeing Sewaddle and Ash's bonding in front of the sunset, he gets his latest inspiration and heads back to his hometown to create new designs and waits for Ash to arrive and challenge him.

[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :

Burgh has a strength with using Bug-type Pokemon and has the ability to "talk" with them. He uses his complex knowledge of Bug-types to communicate and gain their friendship. He also sleeps out within the forest to try and gain a better understanding of Bug-types. He sees himself as trying to gain a "pure heart" while seeking inspiration for his artwork at the same time.

As well as a Bug-type trainer and Gym Leader, Burgh is an accomplish artist. He often has mood swings between being happy and content to depressed and lonely. A common trait amongst artists. His weakness would be lack of inspiration which causes him to withdraw amongst himself and lie among the trees for days on end until his inspiration picks up once more. Burgh's personality can waver between finding his true inspiration around Bug-types and not knowing what to do next. Unpredictability is one of Burgh's weaknesses.

Overall, his strengths lie in doing good for the world and setting things to balance within their own harmony. He is good with people and Bug-type Pokemon and tends to get on well with others. A strength would be his out-going personality.

[ Personality ] :

Burgh comes across as a rather out-going but somewhat shy artist. His personality can change from knowing what to do one moment to losing his inspiration and withdrawing into himself. Spending nights within Pinwheel Forest helps him connect with his "inner self" and regain a "pure heart" in knowing about nature. He is good with animals, especially Bug-type Pokemon. He'd do anything and everything to protect them against danger. Even putting himself at risk. He has a fierce temper if someone ever activates it. Luckily, he has never gone off into a tantrum much in the past.

Mood swings dominate much of Burgh's personality as he tries to find inspiration within the world of Pokemon. He mixes art with training and has found the unique blend in finding where he wants to go. Being the leader of the Castelia City gym, he is responsible and can often be found playing the leader wherever situations show themselves.

His clothes reflect is rather dandy appearance as he takes pride in how he looks. Being an artist, he believes projecting his outward personality and his love of Bug-types makes him the person he is. Most people may think him slightly effeminate due to the way he dresses. Burgh doesn't care if people think him gay or straight, it is how one acts that defies themselves. He believes in that. He is also a fashion designer, using his Pokemon to help him design clothes and costumes. His own clothes were designed by himself and the help of his Pokemon.

He believes against what Team Plasma are doing within the Unova region and vows to help stop them with the other Gym leaders. Hurting Pokemon is something Burgh cannot stand at any cost. He believes that being at harmony with one's Pokemon is how you reach your true potential and inner peace.

[ Other Important Facts ] :

His Japanese title is モスト・インセクト・アーティスト / Mosuto Insekuto Aateisuto. "Most Insect Artist"
BW Episode 018 "Yaguruma Forest! Kurumiru and Arti!!" mentions that Burgh likes salad made from berries.

In the games, Burgh's gym resembles a beehive while Bugsy's gym resembles a Forest and a spiderweb.
Burgh is the second Gym Leader to use Bug Pokemon, the first is Bugsy of Azelea Town in Johto.

[ Sample ] :

What is this? Is that rain? How nice-- wait a minute, is it raining rubber duckies? Seriously.

Burgh was sleeping amongst the canopy on top of a nearby tree as he usually did. He was trying to connect his focus between Bug-type Pokemon and himself. He often did. What was that pit-pat noise coming around him? Was it raining? He had felt no water on his body. He opened his eyes slowly and gasped. What the?-

Rubber ducks? He looked up and couldn't believe what he was seeing. Lots and lots of rubber ducks were....falling from the sky? But, how was that even possible?! Where on earth was he? He stood up and felt one duck hit him on the head. Ow. Jumping down from the tree, he rubbed his head and used his green cloak to protect himself from the duck downpour. He sheltered underneath the tree and pulled out his sketchpad. He began furously trying to record what he was seeing by sketching the ducks falling from the sky. Rubber ducks falling from the sky.

Was he dreaming? He pinched himself to make sure. Nope, that hurt. The bump on his head was real enough too. "What is going on?" He whispered to himself. He often spoke to himself sometimes to get his thought processes working. Eccentric perhaps but Burgh didn't care what others thought of him. He was an artist and art was everything. Some people just didn't understand. What could he do about it? Would the ducks stop on their own? "Sewaddle, you might want to see this." Burgh spoke to the Pokeball attached to his belt. He unhooked the ball and threw it out into the sky. Out came Sewaddle, the caterpillar Pokemon and immediately hid under Burgh's cloak. It was unsure aboutt he ducks as he was. "Sewaddle?" It looked at it's master and frowned. Burgh gave the small creature a stroke on it's leafy head.

"It's alright. Something odd is happening but I find it beautiful and strange at the same time. Don't you, Sewaddle?" He looked to his frightened Pokemon. Sewaddle just poked at one of the rubber ducks on the floor by their feet. Burgh felt as if he were witnessing something magical and special. Like he was within a dream but still within reality. Suddenly, the duck downpour stopped. Burgh sighed. "That was exciting, wasn't it, Sewaddle?" He put his sketchpad away and leaned back against the tree.

( Personality ) :
Lelouch is a man of many many faces and masks. He acts the role of an arrogant sociopath at times with no regard for anyone but himself -- when in reality he is almost always thinking of how he can better the world around him.

Canonly, Lelouch has seven different thought processes going on at once, this may be due to the fact he is considered a genius in more areas than just the battlefield.

He is kind to those he feels deserve it... but truthfully those people are few and far between. Most of his affections are reserved for his little sister Nunally and he has gone to great lengths to ensure she is not only cared for but that her sheltered life is comfortable. His final goals were partially things that he felt Nunally wished for and he sacrificed everything, including his own life, to acheive them. Though the spectrum is much broader when he factored in people who sacrificed or lost their lives, people he trusted and those whose trust he lost by 'betraying' them and vice versa.

Lelouch Vi Britannia 2/?

[personal profile] machiavellingly 2012-10-29 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
Lelouch is ruthless, cunning, calculating, obstinate and an incredibly quick thinker especially when it comes to those around him and the battlefield. He has killed many people in order to move forward with his plans, showing little regard for life at times, though one has to wonder if it's simply a facade and not his true self.

Lelouch carries much guilt from decisions he has made in the past. The death of his sister Euphemia, because he was careless at the time, the death of Shirley's father because it pained her so much, even over how he treated his faux brother Rolo at the end of everything. Those are just a few examples of what we encounter in the series.

He harbors a lot of anger and resentment towards the treatment of both himself and Nunnally. Although he did later learn the truth about Charles and his mother he felt it was unacceptable that they be pushed away, even though he understood the royal family does primarily operate under social Darwinism. It only helped fuel his motives for trying to change the world. Though often times the emotions that he displays are genuine. He is ultimately, in the end, very human with very human reactions and needs.

He is a liar at times but usually because he must do so. Even though he states he does not lie to Nunnally that statement is only technical because she never truly finds out what he's done until the end of everything. He views himself, at times, as an actor in a great comedy and tragedy that almost seems to never end. He can be incredibly egotistical and hypocritical -- but beneath all of these layers he is ultimately a good person who wishes for the betterment of others but enjoys playing the politics of those who refuse to better themselves.

( Strengths/Weaknesses ) :
Physically he is very weak. He has no prowess with sports, athletic activities or competitive physical activities of any kind. His emotions can sometimes cloud his decisions and cause him to make irrational ones at the time that wind up costing him something valuable. While goal-oriented and driven because he can be so cold and calculating he sometimes misses the big picture with his friends, or completely disregards them, even though he feels the need to protect all of them.

HIs power is the command Geass, which allows him to issue any order at any time to whomever he chooses and it cannot be refused. Because he has such great intelligence and intellect he is able to use the Geass effectively to meet his own ends and that makes him an incredibly dangerous opponent if crossed.

( Other Important Facts ) :
The specifics of the Geass are as follows although Lelouch's powers grow substantially by the end of the series:
(borrowed from the wiki)

Commands must be issued verbally.

Eye contact, either direct or via a reflective surface, is required for commands to be issued.

Eye contact through a screen or sensor (such as those on Knightmares) is insufficient.

The maximum effective distance is 270 meters.

Commands may be issued only once to any given individual, but any number of commands may be issued at initial application so long as eye contact is unbroken. In addition, the commands apparently never wear off so long as the conditions still apply. Since Jeremiah's Geass Canceler negates all Geass effects, those exposed to it may be commanded once again.

Commands are limited to what the victim is physically and mentally capable of, though they will try to carry out the command to the best of their ability. For example, a victim will not be able to correctly answer a question they do not know the answer to, but will direct the user to someone who can if they are able. The victim can, however, be commanded into an induced belief (such as forgetting things, or hallucinating) even though this is not normally biologically possible.

The victim's memories for the duration of command issue and execution are sealed and cannot be recalled, thus anyone affected by the power will not be able to remember anything they did while carrying out the command or who ordered them to do it.

Though a victim with strong will may resist a command at first, they will eventually submit.

So long as the above conditions are met, commands may be issued to anybody (including the user himself), besides those who have gained the power of an immortal Code, and to any number of individuals at once. Those under the effect of Geass are signified by a red outline on their irises, presumably a visual cue for the viewer since the characters never point it out.

( Questions? Comments? Concerns? ) : I would very much like Lelouch to retain some of his geass abilities! Of course if used it would be with player consent (as in I would message them personally before doing so) and possibly go down to him only being able to cast it on someone once a day? The geass is part of who he is! I want to play him as accurately as possible! Is this alright or can we negociate something? <3

After discussion with the player of Dualscar I have edited my history to remove anything that clashes with their own headcanons. Everything that remains is fine by the player

History

We are only ever given a brief history of Mindfang's life, only covering a small period of it. The higher the blood colour the longer the lifespan, and as a blueblood Mindfang would natural have a long life. It is unknown how young she was when the Signless had his rebellion, and how old she was when the Summoner killed her.

Created in an ecto lab by Karkat Vantas many years in the future, she was originally sent back to a universe we'll call Troll Universe 1 or TU1 for simplicity. There her name was Aranea Serket, and much the same she was a blueblood with strong psychic abilities with the sign of Scorpio. She was however a bit sweeter, something that came naturally in a much more peaceful Alternia.

Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked Aranea and 11 of her friends played a game called Sgrub. Something went wrong in the game, and with Alternia destroyed with the start of the game there was few options left to them. Unable to find the strength to kill each other or themselves they took the only option left to them. Scratch the game, and begin a new universe, where their race would later play the game, after being in an environment that would help them win it.

And it was into that universe that Mindfang arrived. Crashing onto Alternia she never made her way through the cavern trials, but she still somehow found her way to a lusus. The rest of her wigglerhood was pretty uneventful, passing much like any other.

It was until a few sweeps before her second pupation that something changed. Taken on as a protégé by Doc Scratch her mental capabilities were honed to a higher level than she may have reached natural. However she had and still has little respect for her 'teacher' often referring to him with scorn and sarcasm. When she felt she had learnt enough she stole his all seeing cueball and ran away home.

Returning to Alternia she took to the seas and worked her way up to the top of a ship, through use of cunning and mindcontrol, manipulation and murder. Eventually she became a captain, and it was then she began to make a name for herself.

It was also when she first came to the attention of Orphaner Dualscar, a seadweller devoted to the Empress. Instructed to find and halt her their first meeting ended in a fight and also the start of a kismesissitude that would cause huge destruction to the sides of each party. While their hate changed towards the end (with Mindfang growing bored of Dualscar and annoyed that he was turning red for her) it was a near perfect blackrom at the start.

She paid little attention to The Signless and his rebellion, spending her time on the seas, building up her ships to a fleet, and granting herself the title of Marquise because 'It sounded nice'. She may have agreed with the idea that blood meant nothing, but there was nothing to gain from the Signless so she let it follow it's natural path into failure. After all, it wasn't her fight.

Her closest contact with the Signless's group was through the Dolorosa, who after her adoptive son's death was sold into slavery and bought by Dualscar. It was on his ship that Mindfang saw her and whether it was was simply to annoy Dualscar or because Dolorosa actually caught her eye, Mindfang stole her and took her as her own slave. Fond of red romances with lowbloods, it didn't take long for Mindfang to begin her wooing of Dolorosa, albeit forcing the relationship through her mental control. Through the time they spent together Mindfang developed some actual red feelings, considering a future with the other female. However, it can be assumed that any feelings The Dolorosa had were created by Mindfang or the result of Stockholm Syndrome.

Stealing his slave and then flaunting her choice of a lowblood over him was the final straw for Dualscar. Killing The Dolorosa, either by his own hands or making sure his sign was left, his kismesissitude with Mindfang fell apart and he turned to the Grand Highblood, handing over sweeps of information about Mindfang and her crimes against the Empire. If he couldn't have her no one could.

Unfortunately doing this resulted in his death. The Orphaner wasn't very good with jokes, and The Highbloods weren't prone to letting bloodcaste be an excuse for no sense of humour. Dualscar was killed, and the Grand Highblood's only action against Mindfang was to send a novice neophyte after her.

Her sources telling her Redglare's coming and having already foreseen when her true death would come lead Mindfang to be cocky. She ignored the possibility of Redglare being a threat and didn't look into her cueball to see the future. In return lost an eye, an arm and had her armada burnt down by the Neophyte and her dragon. She was dragged to trial, but it was there Redglare made her own mistake. Lowbloods were allowed into the stadium where the trial was held, and this gave Mindfang the perfect opportunity.

Using her abilities to control lowbloods she used them to pull Redglare into the stadium, strangling her with the noose meant for Mindfang. The lowbloods got blue blood, of a sort, and Mindfang got freedom. All she had to do was take out his Honourable Tyranny, a fight she look forward too, gloating that the removal of one arm would "permit a fair fight". It's implied that Mindfang slew him, a being at least a hundred times her own size, whilst suffering from blood loss, new blindness in an eye and only own arm.

Free or not, Redglare had destroyed all that Mindfang had, the fleet of ships under Mindfang's control ashes in the sea. But ever an optimist Mindfang shrugged that off, deciding to leave the seas behind and stare towards the skies. Finding Redglare's dragon was an idea she contemplated, before moving on to take care of more pressing issues.

The Expatriate, as she called him, was also known as Darkleer, a blueblood just higher than Mindfang who had disobeyed the orders of a highblood and failed to execute The Disciple. This act had brought forth some admiration from Mindfang, and it was enough to gain help from her in escaping the wrath of the Highbloods and finding a hiding spot. In Mindfang's eyes he owed her a debt for that, and with his skill in robotics it was Darkleer that Mindfang went to to gain her robotic arm.

Her time with Darkleer was spent recounting her tales, and considering what to do next. Again the dragon came to her mind, but with her vision eightfold destroyed Mindfang had no way to ask the cueball of the possibilities. Contemplating a technological method to to mimic her natural eye she eventually rejected the idea, acknowledging that the knowledge of the future came with a price. Her thoughts moved on, to the prophecy of her death and The Summoner.

She made her decision then. Her worst choice may have been to ask the cueball of her death, and to know who would cause it but rather than run from her fate she would meet it with open arms and anticipation. Perhaps through The Summoner she would gain control of Pyralsprite. Either way she decided to leave the cueball with Darkleer and place a map with her journal to it's location with a warning of the damage it could also do. All that was left to do was wait, as she knew that the Summoner's low blood caste would mean many sweeps would pass before his arrival and rise to rebellion.

Not one to simply sit around and brood with Darkleer (for one it would drive her completely insane and not just partially) Mindfang set off, shedding name and sign and becoming The Wanderer, a cloak covered blueblood who very few knew about. That didn't mean she let her true names fade in the wind, The Wanderer making sure all recalled who Marquise Spinneret Mindfang was.

It simply gave her a disguise to use to uncover information that she could later use to aid the Summoner's rebellion. It was a fruitful set of sweeps for her, information wise, and it also allowed her time to repair the damage done by Redglare, and learn how to deal with the changes she now had, with her vision altered. It was a time for personal growth, her attitude still as outwardly cocky as always, but Mindfang paying more attention to details and plans than running on blind luck. It had failed her before after all.

When whispers began to blossom of the rise of strong young Cavalreaper Mindfang shed her disguise and made her way to his side. Their first meeting was a tense one, but a slow trust began to form between them as the information she gave him proved correct time and time again. She became somewhat of a teacher to he, educating him in all she knew, shaping him into a man worthy of killing. And slowly trust began to turn into friendship, and then into pity as she knew no matter what he would never succeed in overthrowing the Condesce. No one ever did after all.

Her time with him was an enjoyable one, a final adventure for her. Through him she did gain the skies, and she was reintroduced to Pyralsprite, though the dragon still maintained a hate for Mindfang's hand in Redglare's death. The Summoner was forced to tear dragon and spidertroll apart quite a few times to stop one from killing the other. But Mindfang was happy, even though she was closer to her death than ever. She told the stories of the Signless to the Summoner, and helped him strengthen his rebellion.

Mindfang played a high role in his rebellion but while the Summoner may have trusted her, his followers didn't. She was a blue blood, and the rumours connected with her name didn't help her in gaining trust, even if she hadn't controlled a lowblood since beginning her relationship with the Summoner. It was clear something would happen, either Mindfang would leave or The Summoner's followers would.

She left the choice to kill her in his hands, knowing that he would always put his quest before his pity for her.

And he did.

( Character's Name ) : Terezi Pyrope
( Character's Age ) : about 15
( Series ) : Homestuck
( Canon Point ) : Act 6, Intermission 3

( History ) :
here

( Personality ) :
Compared to many of the characters in Homestuck, we actually get to see a lot of Terezi's personality and development - moreso than most of the trolls aside from Karkat. She starts out seemingly quite sure of herself, though we become more privy to her flaws and insecurities as the series progresses.

Though blinded, it doesn't seem to hinder her much, and in fact she seems to prefer it - to the point that her dream self also became blind even when its eyes weren't the ones burned. Whether she's just really good at adapting or because she just wanted to stick it to Vriska that badly is never delved into, but whatever the case she operates just as well without her sight as she did with it. Perhaps better. She's also quick to use it to her advantage in conversation, sometimes acting offended when whoever she's talking with has forgotten/doesn't know about it. Of course it's highly doubtful she's very offended at all.

She's a fun-loving troll who gets along well with Dave, while at the same time holding mock trials and executions. Terezi basically roleplays the troll equivalent of a lawyer (when she's not being a dragon) and she holds her ancestor, a well known legislacerator, in high regard (this generally being the person she roleplays as in the first place). The area around her hive his filled with plush scalemates hanging from nooses - results of her own played out investigations. So at first she seems like someone who finds most of life to be a game. And maybe this is true, at least until reality gives her a hard smack in the face.

Despite the way she comes on in the beginning, she ends up being one of the more sympathetic characters as the story progresses. She honestly feels a little bad when Davesprite tells her about the doomed timeline he came from that she helped create, and runs away from her computer in tears when she gets a doomed Dave killed in another, despite having known this would be the outcome from the start. Then, even after all her investigating and all the blame she placed on Vriska for all the deaths that occurred on the meteor, she's still not happy that she has to kill her. She might not be out and out compassionate, but her heart is in the right place for a troll.

The death of Vriska was something of a turning point for her, as she hasn't been quite her old self since. The realization that her feelings toward Vriska may have further blinded her to the truth about other matters. When Dave and Rose arrive she can only be embarrassed for herself and her fellow trolls, attempting several times to say how much cooler they usually were but realizing they weren't.

Her and Dave do hit it off well, though, being already on friendly terms. Terezi herself isn't completely lost to mopiness, as we do see her drawing and playing with both the Mayor and Dave later on - so much so, in fact, that Karkat becomes jealous of their interaction. Unfortunately, the other troll never gets up the nerve to say anything, and as of the current point in the story it is inferred that Terezi and Dave are seeing each other (though this is shown entirely off-screen the same way the Jade and Davesprite one is and we never really have any details on it). There is clearly also some romantic tension between her and Karkat still, and she can be found sitting near his sleeping form during one of the Meenah mini-games. Though Meenah has also shown some interest in Karkat, I believe Terezi is aware that Karkat hasn't actually shown any real romantic interest back , despite what the sea troll might think.

There is also the matter of her current blackrom situation with Gamzee, of which we also have very little detail on aside from what Gamzee mentions to Rose. Some concern is expressed over how this would make Karkat feel, and Rose (though inebriated at the time) believes she should take up the position of an auspistice to keep them from being an actual couple. How this relationship originally occurred is also something the reader is unaware of at this point. Given how Gamzee currently is at Vatheon, however, there shouldn't be too much of an issue with that - though she won't know how to handle this at first.

When it comes to their ancestors, (or rather, their "dancestors") Terezi felt so insecure after meeting hers that she took to hiding away with the hood of her dragon cape pulled over the top half of her face. (Not that she needs to see, being blind and all. Karkat approached her about it, and when she revealed how bothered she was by the sheer coolness factor of the other Pyrope, he argued that she was the better of the two simply because she didn't fake anything. Terezi seems to have been very touched by this.

( Strengths/Weaknesses ) :
Did I mention she was blind?

In Terezi's case, this acts as both a strength and a weakness. The obvious weaknesses are those accompanying the lack of sight. As much as she can pick up through her other senses, she by no means gets a perfect readout of a room just by walking in and giving it a few sniffs. On the flip side, her senses of smell and taste are through the roof when it comes to how much detail she can pick up. Licking the screen of her computer, for example, somehow lets her read the text on it. She doesn't have another program read it to her.

Mentally, she's not as sure of herself as she once was. She's full of insecurities, as I mentioned previously, and I think it's mostly because of these that she fell into the relationships she currently has - because they were easy to grasp for.

On the other hand, even if she doesn't act it sometimes, she's one of the more sane and level-headed of the trolls. To an extent, anyway. Her quirks and habits are just that, and they help cover a surprisingly rational mind.

( Other Important Facts ) :
Taking Terezi from this point in canon means she's about two years older than anyone taken from the end of Act 5 or before (not counting their time spent in Vatheon).

As far as her typing quirk goes, she uses all caps in teal font, replacing A, I, and E with 4, 1, and 3, respectively. I will provide translations when necessary.

( Sample ) :
The door was thrown open with far more force than necessary, leaving Terezi framed in the doorway with an expression that clearly stated she was ready to lay the smack down on its painted-faced occupant. She was so ready to do this. She'd run over what she was going to say multiple times in her head. First would be a comment on the general state of his room, followed by a snide remark on his current company (Karkat excluded), with the finisher being a jab at his continued slime reliance.

Except the room was empty. A simple sniff of the air made this perfectly clear, and this realization left her feeling deflated. Her whole prepared argument crumbled to a fine dust and left her in a sigh.

This wasn't going to work out anyway. She didn't need to be a Seer to realize this. The Gamzee here really was the sweet and innocent troll she'd originally thought him to be. Even if there was the potential within him to become the one she'd eventually fallen into black with, he didn't want it and it would be wrong of her to try and force it on him. (Not to mention he probably couldn't keep their relationship a secret if his life depended on it.)

Perhaps she could just... mess up his room a bit while he was gone. Break a few things, leave chalk graffiti covering his walls. Of course, with her luck, he'd enjoy the drawings and not even notice the added mess. Or worse, he'd just get sad about it. Ugh, she couldn't stand the idea of him looking at her with wide, hurt eyes.

It was a bit like kicking a puppy. An ugly, pathetic puppy that honked when it was sent flying.

Quite abruptly, she pulled herself back out of the room and slammed the door behind her with just as much force as she'd used when she first entered. Something rattled and fell, and she couldn't help the slight amount of pleasure that gave her. It was wigglerish of her, but she'd take what she could get at that point.

( Questions? Comments? Concerns? ) :
Nope.
