Below is a place to thread out quick little conversations with the NPCs that aren't worth an entire log. Vatheon's staple NPCs will have postings here, and all the other new quest NPCs will simply be listed under the "Quest NPCs" comment header. Please put in the subject line which quest you're talking with an NPC about!

[The owner stares in shock. He thought the guy was bluffing! That beast has to weigh at least a thousand pounds! He can't handle this much STRENGTH! Give him a second.

Okay, he's got this.]

You're hired! I mean, you can take the quest! Whatever.

Oh, yes. If you're particularly desperate, you should find that it...

[He gasps suddenly, pointing at a large minotaur that's appeared behind Shiro.]

Look out!

[Shiro's got seconds to do something. Hopefully he likes trial by fire!]

[He sighs exaggeratedly, opening the message.

Wait, people here can die? Permanently?!

The younger brother hops out the window, running around to the front of the house. Looks like this problem is solved!]

Oh, I like stories.

[He just looks up at Fai eagerly, waiting for the free entertainment. There's probably a moral to his story or whatever, but he'll take what he can get.]

He always leaves messes on my side of the room.

I do not! You just steal my things!

[Whoops, now they're fighting again. Looks like they remembered what they were upset about!]

[The other boy uses the window, of course!]

He's a jerk and he leaves his messes on my side of the room. But now he CAN'T, because we both have our own rooms!

[The brother on the side of the room with a door pokes his head out curiously.]

Hey, it's a grey person! Hi, grey person!

Why DON'T you just smash down the wall? It's a stupid wall, anyway.

[The boy on this side of the room leaps to his feet, running over to the wall.]

No! If you push it down he'll get his mess on my side again!

[He looks at Darkleer's clothes, then at the musclebeast. Wow. This sure is... just... wow.]

Yeah, uhh, you can keep the glitter on him. No charge.

Either your brother is an evil genius or he doesn't understand the sticking power of glitter.

[Yay, Davesprite likes his heart! The citizen waves, happy to have the mess finally out of his house.]

[With a huff, Darkleer sets down Arty as gently as he can. While the musclebeast hurries to get a glass of milk ready, Darkleer nods to the carnival owner.]

Is isn't a girls story. Sure I could of probably added a fight scene or two, but how exactly can an ugly old hag fight?

[Logic man. Sometimes there can be some.]

With magic! You shoulda made her a witch or something!

[The boy looks up at Minako stubbornly like he's waiting for her to amend her story.]

[Yes! Mission accomplished. Nobody can resist his amazing rap ventriloquist skills. He knows there are videogames that have character costumes as additional bonus, so he'd be a fool to turn this down.]

You'll get Cal a costume too, right?

[That's an energetic little fella, right there. No wonder the mom looks so exhausted. He takes a few huge strides towards the boy so he can tower over him, his glasses flashing ominously in the light of the lanterns.]

Kid, sit down. I got a story for you.

[Yeah, he gets the code. He figures it's a skill that'll become available when his health is low or some shit. Certain parameters that have to be met. Maaan, the best skills are always the most difficult ones to activate.]

That ain't exactly music to my ears, but I guess it's still better than no invisibility at all.

*She gets out a huge roll of tape, wraps it round her hands, and her knees, then starts crawling all over the floor, yes, in a leather catsuit, letting the glitter stick to the tape, until it's all gone*

And then that guy is the first one to yell "Heal me, heal me!" even though his own stupidity is what got him into trouble in the first place! It's like they don't understand that MP is finite!

[Fai walks over to a chair and sits down.]

It all began in a kingdom where two princes resided! They were the best of friends..twin brothers born under an unfortunate star. The loved each other very much but they also fought at times, like any good brothers do. But no matter what they always knew that they would be together forever. They were sure of it.

Until one day they had a great fight. The older twin had left his toys out just like this and the younger twin had gotten hurt. They were angry and so demanded that a great tower be built so they wouldn't have to fight over toys any longer. The elder twin played in the highest room of the tower, while the younger stayed at the bottom. They could hear each other only if they shouted.

[Fai watches the boy to make sure he is listening.]

[Fai realizes what he had done and looks back at the man with a smile.] It seems I have. What a sneaky person you are~

Well, I was thinking about putting this bag of ingredients to good use.

[A baking partner? How could he refuse!]

[He runs off to grab them some costumes. Moments later he's back with two hideous ringmaster costumes almost exactly like his own, one in Bro's size and one for his puppet. Don't ask how he magically had the right sizes.]
